Chawarel/Penrhiw Hone Quarry is situated at the bottom of a steep slope to the east of Moel-siabod. The site comprises a quarry face and level with significant nearby slate spoil heaps.The quarry is depicted as 'disused' on the 1st Edition 6" Ordnance Survey map of 1891. Moel Siabod Hone Quarry Ltd. is recorded as being dissolved in 1895.
