Substantial rectangular earthwork enclosure, measuring c.86m x 72m, recorded during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 4th July 2006. The site may be a medieval moated site or possibly even a prehistoric enclosure. Extensive remains of a terraced field system with likely prehistoric origins have been recorded on the rocky flanks of Ynys Llanfihangel y traethau just to the north of Tanforhesgan (NPRN 411088).
