A brick-built two-storey house of c.1840 representing the refronting of an earlier timber-framed building of probable seventeenth -century date. The framed gable ends, rear wall and internal structure of the earlier building still survive. The building was reputedly in use as a public house until the mid twentieth-century and the attached stable and the accommodation range may relate to this usage.
