Penllergaer village is situated to the north of Swansea, south of the M4. St. Davids church (NPRN13540), Salem Calvinistic Methodist Chapel (NPRN13537) and the Bryn Seion Independant Chapel are located within Penllergaer. Penllergaer House (NPRN19645) and Penllergaer Garden (NPRN232132) lye east of the village and the Penllergaer Observatory (NPRN23083).
