Description
Boncath Railway Station was on the the Cardigan Extension of the Whitland and Cardigan Railway (nprn 410169); it opened in 1886. The station had a passing loop served by two passenger platforms and a goods loop on the down side where there was a small goods yard and shed. A siding from the yard served a saw mill nearby to the north of the station. The single-storey stone-built main station building was on the up platform and, along with the goods shed, still survives, as does the nearby Station House. The station closed in 1962.
