Cropmarks recorded south west of Llandrinio. during aerial reconnaissance. They comprise the plough-levelled remains of a ditched settlement of round-house gullies and an outer enclosure ditch, potentially of Iron Age date. The numerous drainage gullies, and the position of the settlement close to the river and on a floodplain, means that there are similarities with this settlement and so-called prehistoric 'hydraulic communities' in the East Anglian fenland.
