The former British School in Ruthin dates from 1848 and is believed to have been designed by Richard Cash. It is now known as Rhos Street School (Ysgol Stryd y Rhos). As part of Welsh Government's 21st Century Schools Programme, Rhos Street School relocated to new campus across town in 2018, sharing the new building with Ysgol Pen Barras. Former stone school buildings of 1848 listed for sale in 2019.
