2. 'There are further substantial quarry workings further west along the cliffs (at SM 8915 3824), and which were formerly reached from the cliff top by a switchback incline. The incline is now very overgrown, but leads down to a narrow ravine that was cut back into the hillside and then opened up as a stone quarry.' - Paul R. Davis, 2020
