The wreck of the SAINT GEORGE lies in 7m of water in Porthlysgi Bay, and was first reported to the UKHO by divers in 1984. At that time, the wreck rested on its starboard side and the port side was largely intact. The boiler was reported as being in-situ and much of the wreck was covered in kelp.
Further diver reports in 1996 stated that only the boiler and the bow remained, and that the rest of the wreck was 'all smashed up'.
