Description
Following the South Wales Cottage Exhibition at Swansea in 1910, which arose from Swansea Town Council's decision to erect a new housing estate at Townhill, Raymond Unwin was asked to design a Garden Suburb for the town. The suburb was never built in that form but it is believed that the original exhibition cottages still stand. The estate was later laid out on Town Planning lines by the architect Raymond Unwin and George Bell, Borough Surveyor of Swansea.
