Located near Nant Gwydyr, about one mile south-west of Llanrwst. Official records of the first output dates from 1860, the mine being operated by the D?Ersby and Gwydyr Co. though there is some evidence of much earlier exploitation of the lodes. Production continued, with various lengthy interludes, untill 1963, when the mine was finally closed.
