Description
Ty'n-y-Llan is a Snowdonian house with a panel dated 1735 in the principal room. The house is mentioned in " Hanes Plwyf Llanegryn" and is said to have Jacobite associations.

[Additional:] A C19th house built on the site of a tavern. Gwilym Prys Davies notes (2010) that a framed oak plaque is preserved in the house carved with the initials R B[superscript] I and the date 1735 set below a stylised crown or coronet. The initials stand for Richard and Jane Bulkeley. Jane, heiress of Peniarth and owner of Tyn-llan, marriedLord Bulkeley of Baron Hill in 1732. Lord Davies also notes that the stylised oak leaves carved on the frame may be a possible Jacobite symbol. RFS/RCAHMW/2016
