Morgan Jones Park is Caerphilly's principal recreation space. The park was opened in 1934 and is dedicated to former Caerphilly MP and noted Conscientious Objector, Morgan Jones. Originally comprising playing fields and a lido, the site was subsequently reorganised and the lido demolished. The park now includes facilities for rugby, cricket, football, and basketball as well as tennis courts and a bowling green. There is also a children's playground and grass maze.
