Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance has identified surviving earthworks of an oval tree-enclosure ring (measuring 174m x 95m) approached by an embanked avenue or path from the south, also surviving as earthworks, part of the emparkment of Cilgwyn Estate. Nineteenth-century mapping shows these features surviving to the north of Scotland Lodge and a nearby pheasantry.
