Rydal Mount school, Colwyn Bay, was founded in 1885. In 1930 the school was extended and in 1957 a Memorial Hall was added, which was Grade II listed in 1994. In 1995 Rydal combined with the nearby Penrhos school and became Rydal Penrhos.
