Description
The stable block is an ancillary structure to Usk priory, which after its dissolution in 1536 became the residence of the Jones family. The house was remodelled in 1869 by J Neville of Abergavenny andwas then enlarged in 1894. It is likely that the stable block was constructed around the same period. It is a single storey rectangular building built from semi-coursed rubble stone and has a pitched clay tile roof. There is also a chimney stack in dressed stone blocks. The building measures 17.8m x 5.3m and is in poor condition.
