DescriptionThe stable block is an ancillary structure to Usk priory, which after its dissolution in 1536 became the residence of the Jones family. The house was remodelled in 1869 by J Neville of Abergavenny andwas then enlarged in 1894. It is likely that the stable block was constructed around the same period. It is a single storey rectangular building built from semi-coursed rubble stone and has a pitched clay tile roof. There is also a chimney stack in dressed stone blocks. The building measures 17.8m x 5.3m and is in poor condition.
