Situated within the conservation area of Haverfordwest, the swimming pool was originally built in the 1960's and was then extended in the 1980's. The original section of the building comprises of a concrete portal frame structure with precast concrete purlins supporting a profiled steel roof. The concrete frame is in-filled with a combination of brick work walls and large polycarbonate panels to the westerly elevation of the structure. The extension consists of a steel portal frame structure with masonry walls. The swimming pool was closed in 2009 following the construction of a new sports centre and swimming pool in the town.
