RCAHMW aerial photographs taken in Dec 2007 show one prominent circular mound and up to three smaller mounds sited centrally on the ridge descending north-east from Penycloddiau hillfort. It is possible that these mounds are Bronze Age round barrows, but they may be more mundane clearance cairns or more recent spoil tips. See aerial photographs AP_2007_4646-7.
