Radyr Golf Club was formed in 1902 and is notable for being the oldest golf club in Cardiff as well as the host of Wales's first professional golf tournament in 1904. The course, designed by Harry Colt, is laid out on land originally owned by the Earl of Plymouth and used for farming ? a purpose later restored to the 11th, 16th, and 17th holes which were ploughed up for the Dig for Victory campaign during the Second World War. The full 18 holes were not returned to players until 1949.
