Description
A section of Roman road, lying west of Carmarthen: identified by aerial photographs taken by Dyfed Archaeological Trust. The road continues eastwards, after a short break, to grid reference SN 30911 842; at this point the projected line of the road appears to change to an east-west alignment (based on evidence of a linear cropmark, plotted by the Trust, at SN 3141 1841). It is probable, however, that this cropmark may represent a (now removed) hedgerow associated with the Llwyn-y-brain enclosure (NPRN 43217; PRN 11797), or, be a modern trackway: with the line of the Roman road lying, perhaps, further to the north.
