Constructed in the inter-war years, the clubhouse of the Taff Rowing Club replaced earlier clubhouse facilities housed at the nearby Mitre Hotel. Although it fell into disrepair during the Second World War, the building was refurbished following the merger of the Taff Rowing Club and Cardiff Rowing Club in the late-1940s to form the Llandaff Rowing Club that exists today. A modern clubhouse now exists on the site.
