Description
A group of rendered terraces, positioned in a straightforward row with the two end terrace houses differently orientated. They were built post 1912, as seen from their non-appearance on the Ordnance Survey 25? map of this date, and most likely date from the 1950s. Looking at the main facades two alternating designs have been used for the mid-terrace properties. Some follow a traditional design going back to the nineteenth century, being single-fronted with a single ground floor window and two on the upper storey. The others are narrow but double fronted with hooded doorways flanked by two very thin windows and a wider upstairs window. The end terraces are likewise double fronted with similar hooded doorways and three first floor windows. The roof of the terrace is slate tiled with six red brick chimneys in total. Four are positioned mid ridge and two, close to each end, are single pitch. Long front gardens are shared between two houses and there is a mixture of hedging and fences used to mark boundaries. Those of the end terraces are more extensive.
