Buckholt Mill is depicted on the 1st edition of the 25-inch O. S. map of 1882. It was situated on the left bank of the Mally Brook 3km north of Monmouth, and fed by a 115 metre-long leat and 80 metre-long pond. It is shown as disused on the 2nd edition map of 1901.
