Description
Originally built as the offices for Tredegar Estate 1904-06 and designed by J. F. Groves, architect to the Estate, the building is now used as a magistrates court. It was built in late seventeenth-century style and is constructed of grey ashlar sandstone with a broad hipped slate roof on deep dentilled eaves. There is a tall ashlar chimney stack each end of the roof ridge. The entrance facade is symmetrical, seven bays and two storeys, with the central entrance bay rising to three storeys, projecting and gabled. There are twelve-pane sash windows with cut voussoirs and projecting keystones and a stringcourse above ground floor windows.
The entrance bay has four-light stone mullioned windows to the upper floors with small pane glazing and a carved crest to the gable. There is a round-arched doorway with thin pilasters and cornice with a large carved stone heraldic shield over the door within a square frame. The large iron rainwater heads are dated 1906.

It is listed as an impressively designed former estate office, which has retained its original charter and detail.
