Wrexham Industrial Estate is one of the largest industrial estates in Europe and it covers approximately 550 hectares. The site has grown from the former Royal Ordnance Factory (NPRN 308980) which produced explosives during World War Two. The estate includes Weddells Pharmaceuticals Factory (NPRN 408892) that was built in the 1970s.
The site was photographed by the RCAHMW during aerial reconnaissance on 14 March 2003.
