A parallel pit alignment measuring some 180m, running east-west, visible as cropmarks to the north of the Broad Heath Roman villa. At each end of the alignment the pits are roughly circular, but in the centre the pits are teardrop-shaped, suggesting that posts have been inserted into the respective parallel pits from outside of (eg. to north and south of) the alignment. Alternatively the pits may never have been designed to hold posts or uprights. The site is not easy to date or characterise from cropmark evidence alone. Recorded during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 26th April 2011.
