Description
Cropmarks of a polygonal defended enclosure were recorded during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance in 2009 and 2011 as a feint cropmark. The enclosure measures, at its maximum dimensions, 54m x 40m and is irregular on plan. The enclosure is one of a group of four occupying the undulating hills to the south of Malthouse Road, two of which were discovered in 2013. These enclosures are linked, or cut across, by a linear ditch (NPRN 419684) running east-west for some 1.35kms, which has an inturned entrance along its length some 60m west of this enclosure.
