Description
Lime Kiln Crossing is a level crossing on what was originally the Monmouthshire Canal Company's tramroad, later Monmouthshire Railway & Canal Company's and is now Network Rail's line. A Monmouthshire Railway & Canal Company crossing keeper's hut (since demolished) of circa 1855 stood to the north west of the crossing; it was constructed of red brick with a hipped slated roof. The crossing's controlling signal box (Lime Kiln Sidings Signal Box; nprn 415777) stood to the south (since demolished).
