Mount Pleasant Park was opened in 1938 however work to complete the site in its entirety was not completed until after the Second World War. With tennis courts, a bowling green, playing fields, rugby pitch (including terracing and grandstand), and a children's playground, the park is the main recreational facility for Beddau.According to documentary evidence a swimming pool was also present at the site, although this is not made clear on the mapping.
