Description
Cropmark of a Bronze Age round barrow in arable land, west of housing at Newton Green, discovered during Royal Commission aeria reconnaissance on 21st June 2010. The circular cropmark measures approx. 25m in diameter. Further linear ditches can be seen in the vicinity of the round barrow which might represent prehistoric or later field boundaries. Some of the clearest aerial photographs of the site were taken on 1st August 2013 (AP_2013_5524-5528).
