A small development of 26 semi-detached houses built in 1947 for the Caerphilly Urban District Council. The entrance to Bronrhiw Avenue, a cul-de-sac off King Edward Avenue, is flanked by two masonry pillars, the east one of which carries a metal plate bearing the following inscription:
"THIS PLAQUE WAS UNVEILED BY RT. HON. NESS EDWADS. M.P. ON 29TH. AUGUST. 1947. TO COMMEMORATE THE OPENING OF THE FIRST HOUSES ERECTED FOR THE CAERPHILLY U.D.C. BY APPRENTICES UNDER THE SCHEME PROMOTED BY THE MINISTER OF WORKS FOR THE TRAINING OF APPRENTICES ON SPECIAL BUILDING WORKS."
