Ebbw Vale Comprehensive School was formed in 1999 following the amalgamation of Ebbw Vale Senior Comprehensive and Glanyrafon Junior Comprehensive Schools. The building was built in 1975 and refurbished in 1999 to house the new school. The school occupies a site adjacent to the Ebbw Vale campus of Coleg Gwent. There are currently 600 pupils aged between 11 and 18 on roll, with a broad catchment from Cwm in the south to Willowtown in the north.
