Description
The open-air swimming baths in Wattstown opened in the mid-1920s and formed part of Wattstown Memorial Park. Constructed and operated by the Wattstown Welfare Association, the baths remained extant until the 1960s but, with the closure of Wattstown Colliery in 1968, faced increasing financial difficulty and were subsequently closed and filled in. The site is now partly occupied by a children's playground.
