Cardiff Heliport is located 2 miles south-east of Cardiff city centre, to the east of Roath Dock. The heliport is owned by Cardiff Council and operated by Veritair Ltd. Veritair use the heliport as their operational headquarters, which also has public facilities for helicopters visiting Cardiff. The new heliport was opened by HRH Prince of Wales in March 2000.
