Cwmdare County Primary School is an English-medium primary school is situated in the village of Cwmdar, on the north of Aberdare town. In 2024 the school had approx. 261 pupils on roll, aged 3-11. The school's infant and junior departments appear as separate blocks on OS 25-inch Third Edition (1913-16), on the site of an earlier school that appears on OS 25-inch Second Edition (1896-99).
