Probable Roman Fort located approx. 600m west of Cwmcarfan village. The outline of the fort is fossilised in present day field boundaries. The fort measures approx. 90m by 65m, orientated east-west, with curved playing card shaped corners. Discovered by Bryn Gethin during analysis of aerial photography in 2010.
