Fuches Wen is the name depicted on the historic O. S. 25-inch maps for a small settlement to the east of the Blaenau FFestiniog - Llan Festiniog road. It contains houses named as Pen-y-cae and Tynewydd (NPRN 410604) and Tyddyn Cwtyn (NPRN 410599). The cottage named as Fuches Wen has been extended at its south gable, but not to the plans proposed by Falcon D Hildred.
