Description
Signal box at the wayside station of St Mary Church Road (nprn 416036) on the former Cowbridge and Aberthaw Railway of 1892, from 1895 the Taff Vale Railway's Aberthaw Branch, which closed in 1932. The box is a McKenzie & Holland type 3 (Taff Vale Railway) design. Although the station site is re-used for domestic and agricultural purposes, the station building and signal box (in poor condition) survive in situ.
