Description
Deri Workmen's Hall and Institute was opened on 29 March 1924 by Morgan Jones MP (Labour, Caerphilly). It cost £6,000 to construct and the costs were partially met by the Miners' Welfare Fund. The building was designed by J. W. Routledge, architect, and built by the local unemployed on a direct labour scheme. It remains in use as a community hall today.
