A well constructed track climbs the hillside, following the course of a shallow valley, from the Diffwys Quarry cart road (NPRN 415496) at SH7079945647 towards Diffwys-Casson slate quarry. The track is defined by large slabs of local rock, not slate, laid end to end along its edges, with smaller material between now grassed over. It averages 2 metres in width. At SH7103145924 a similarily-constructed track branches off and crosses the small stream heading towards No 6 steam mill, but then is lost under vegetation.
