1. The open-air swimming baths at Prestatyn opened in 1923. They were later refurbished and reopened, in 1960, as the Royal Lido. Further renovations in the 1980s, which included the transformation of the open-air baths into an indoor swimming pool, resulted in the present-day Nova Centre. It remains in use as a leisure centre today.

2. A £4.4m refurbishment in 2015 carried out by JT Joinery ensured the Nova Centre now includes a fitness suit, restaturant, café, function rooms and a soft play area on three storeys. The Centre is owned and managed by Denbighshire County Council.
