The building was formerly a pharmacy, its interior graced by ornate glass and wooden display cases and cabinets. The exterior of the building has been fitted with new windows throughout, though retaining many features of the original shop, including the general shape of the protruding, full width shop windows and they first floor bay windows above. The two gables above the bay windows retain their decorative wooden framing, and the ornate sunflower finials which terminate the ridge tiles.
