Located on the immediate west side of the lower track through Clyne Wood is a stone quarry of fairly recent date, not shown on OS maps. Its base, level with the track, measures 11m (N-S) by 10m. The quarry is cut into rising ground above the track to a depth of some 4m-5m, deepest at its upper west end.
