Description

One-storey, rubble stone farm building.

Garth Geiliog was at one time a very well know, and respected, household and it connected to the Rhydderchiaid, related to the Prysiaid of Gerddi Bluog and the Pooles of Cae Nest. It is hidden by the trees now. The earliest reference seems to be in 1638 with Humphrey Poole's will. Haven't been close enough to the site ro record and take detailed photographs. but the remains are substantial according to local residents. Worth more research especially with the nearby ruin Blaidd Bwll.

Ymddengys fod Garth Geiliog wedi bod yn lle o gryn enwogrwydd a'r teulu, y Rhydderchiaid, yn perthyn i'r Prysiaid Gerddi Bluog a Pwliaid Cae Nest. Yn furddun cuddiedig ymysg y coed erbyn hyn. Cofnod cynharaf o Garth Geiliog 1638 yn ewyllys Humffrey Poole. Heb fod at y safle i'w chofnodi'n fanwl ond mae yna olion yna yn ôl y gymuned leol. Gwerth ymchwil pellach yn enwedig ar y cyd gyda murddun cyfagos Blaidd Bwll.
