Five rectangular coke ovens are shown on the 1st edition of the 25-inch O. S. map, dated 1874, immediately east of the furnace bank. They had disappeared by 1899, the date of the 2nd edition map, and the ironworks had been replaced by the Acrefair Engineering Works.
