Site Record

Coed Maenarthur is a large mixed woodland near Pontrhydygroes and on the river Ystwyth. Within the wood is Castle Grogwynion Iron Age Hillfort and evidence of 19th century lead mining, and on the river is the Grogwynion Falls and a 19th century dam. Now owned and managed by the Forestry Commission.
