Eagles Meadow shopping centre is situated in Wrexham's town. The devellopment of the shopping centre began in May 2006, and was completed in October 2008, when the Mayor of Wrexham officially opened the centre. Eagles Meadow was built on the site of a former car park and an Asda. It was a £100 million development between Wrexham County Council and Wilson Bowden developers, providing some 306,000 ft for retail and leisure.

The Shopping Centre is built on the site of the North Wales Horse Repository (nprn 421898), established between 1881 and 1898.
