Ysgol Hafod Lon is a special day school for learners between 3 and 19 years of age. Built to the designs of John Samuel Williams in 1975. The school was sited adjacent to Ysgol Bro Plenydd (NPRN: 417532) in the rural village of Y Ffôr, north of Pwllheli. In 2016, as part of Welsh Government's 21st Century Schools Programme, Ysgol Hafod Lon relocated to a new site at Penrhyndeudraeth. Former Hafod Lon school buildings at Y Ffôr provided temporary accommodation for Hafod Hedd Clinic's Dementia Day Assessment Service, (Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board) whilst new build was being constructed at Ysbyty Bryn Beryl just to the south, and which opened in October 2021.
