The 1st, 2nd and 3rd editions of the historic 25-inch O. S. maps, published in 1889, 1900 and 1918 respectively, all depict an active corn mill at this location.
The mill itself was roofless in 1950 as shown in a photograph. A mill pond immediately east of the mill building was supplied by the Afon LLifon, and the water wheel appears to have been on the south gable of the mill. The large mill house continues as a dwelling, and the mill has been re-roofed.
