DescriptionCapel yr Ywen ('Yew Tree Chapel') is depicted as a site of antiquity on historic (1887-1906) and modern Ordnance Survey mapping. It is located some 220m to the south-east of the farm, Tircapel, and some 140m north-north-west of a well adjacent to a dwelling depicted on historic Ordnance Survey mapping as Cwrt-y-groes. In 1833 the chapel was noted to be a ruin. In 1913 it was noted that no traces of the buiding were discernable, and that some sixty years before a number of graves had been disturbed at Ty'r capel (now Tircapel) during the digging of building foundations.
